Other Staff and Volunteer Opportunities

Right now, I’m it, I wear all the hats around here… from Executive Director to Chief Pooper Scooper. And now it’s time to find others to help me make the WolfStone Ranch dream come true.

"The thinking man must oppose all cruel customs no matter how deeply rooted in tradition
or surrounded by a halo… We need a boundless ethic which will include the animals also."
--Dr. Albert Schweitzer

If I had my druthers, I’d be free to concentrate all my efforts on…
* Putting together Crying For A Vision, a musical ensemble to perform concerts that will build our community of animal-loving activists to work for compassionate treatment of all animals and
* Helping to organize all of the “front-end” campaigns such as (a) creating and implementing a comprehensive humane education program in all Mineral Area schools, (b) setting up a low-cost spay-neuter program with all the veterinarians of the Mineral Area, (c) setting up pet food banks through the Mineral Area, etc. etc. etc.

And while I intend to start putting Crying For A Vision together in the very near future, I’ll have limited time for such musical activism, because I cannot simply step aside from everything else I am doing, until I can replace myself in some or all these other functions.

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world.
Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." --Margaret Mead

WolfStone Ranch has no money right now to pay anyone anything, so at this time, we’re looking for volunteers only. However, we need to begin raising money immediately to pay a few key positions. Our Board of Directors, however, is and will always be all voluntary.

Otherwise, we need grant writers, administrative assistance, help with animal care (cleaning, feeding, exercising, etc.). And of course, we’ll need a volunteer coordinator!

As with all charities, we’re looking for only the best of volunteers! But just what does that mean? First, we’re looking for those very special people who are not just animal lovers, but instead those who care deeply about getting seriously involved in making a difference in the lives of all animals.

Then, of course, we’re looking for awesome people who are responsible, dependable, honest, energetic (hard-working), enthusiastic, positive and committed. We’re looking for amazing people who are both capable of working independently but who are also team players. And finally, while we’ll always consult our Suggestion Box for fabulous ideas about how we can improve things, we’re looking for wonderful people who genuinely like and eagerly support what we’re already doing. (Whew!)

So… if you are at a point in your life where becoming a part of a community like WolfStone Ranch sounds enticing, please contact me… and let’s talk!
